(Arabic: أسعد علي ياسين) Born in 3/2/1953, is the current Iraqi ambassador to Sofia-Bulgaria, appointed by the (Ministry Of Foreign Affairs ) in 2009, former ambassador of Iraq to Yemen 2010-2012 and was the president of Samarra’s city council from 2006 till 2007, was an officer in the (Ministry Of Trade ) from 1971-1980, also a leading contractor for many projects in Iraq from 1981-1986. Asaad Ali Yaseen Was Born in Samarra/Salah Addin in 1953, joined the Military during the Iran-Iraq War, he graduated from College of Literature in Baghdad 1977-1978, at the early 90's, Mr. Yaseen was the chairman of one of the biggest tires trading companies "Al-Rafidain". Besides success in business, Mr. Yaseen is known to be a benefactor to the city of Samarra. He built an Islamic school, and built water piping for an entire neighbourhood on his own expense, not to mention other donations for public utilities. Mr. Yaseen travelled to UAE in 1997 to settle there, where he launched contracts and trading business. In 2005 he was assigned to lead Samarra's City Council. Five years later, Mr. Yaseen accepted the position of ambassador at the (Ministry Of Foreign Affairs ), to be then nominated to Vietnam then to Yemen to hold this position till the end of 2012. He is currently holding the same position in Bulgaria. Business affairs are currently run by his sons in UAE and Iraq.
